Freeing them to work on the more important tasks, rather than the trivial ones. To do this, companies must find clarity in their own data. That’s where we come in. AI can be controversial. With corporations replacing their workforce with AI and other threats due to the lack of governance, it’s hard to appreciate the benefits this technology provides. We believe all of those things mentioned can and should be avoided. AI should be used by the workforce in a “hybrid” model to empower its people and produce at a higher level.
We built 37.DEV as a deliberate counter: AI in service of SMBs to empower their people, not replace them. We’re creative beings and AI can relieve us from the mundane data entry tasks that suck the life out of us. This enables us to work on the business instead of constantly being stuck in the business.

Hi, I’m James.
I’m the founder of 37.DEV. For the past 26 years I’ve been neck-deep in technology, business development, website design/development, analytics, digital marketing, branding, and creative operations. I’ve worked with 100+ companies, built 500+ websites, and led teams of 30+. I had the pleasure of working with quite a few Fortune 500 clients including Walmart, Sysco, Lockheed Martin, and Nike, to name drop a few.
My technical background started at IBM in 2000 as a Lab Technician in Boulder. I worked with brilliant engineers, testing software, firmware, and hardware, learning how systems actually work from the ground up. I really enjoyed the work.
Fast forward to now, and when AI crossed a meaningful threshold in 2023, I recognized it for what it was: the first time a solo operator could build and run a system that previously required a team of five or more. Not “AI-powered” as a marketing claim. A genuine infrastructure shift. 37.OS is what I built when I realized I could finally give a business the intelligence layer I always wished I had, plus the office assistant to go with it.
