Hi, I'm James.
The founder of 37dev. For the past 15 years I've been neck-deep in website design, digital marketing, and creative operations. I've worked with 100+ companies, built 500+ websites, led teams of 30+ creatives, and managed $8M+ in annual revenue. I had the pleasure of working with quite a few Fortune 500 clients including Walmart, Sysco, Lockheed Martin, and Nike, to name drop a few.
My technical background started at IBM as a lab technician in Boulder. I worked with brilliant engineers, testing software, firmware, and hardware, learning how systems actually work from the ground up. From there, I started a hardwood flooring business, stepping into home services and entrepreneurship. I look back now and, wow, I wish the tools we have now were available. Marketing tools, that is.
When AI crossed a meaningful threshold in 2023, I recognized it for what it was: the first time a solo operator could build and run a system that previously required a team of five or more. Not "AI-powered" as a marketing claim. A genuine infrastructure shift. ACORN is what I built when I realized I could finally build the ultimate lead-response engine at a price point that makes sense for the businesses that need it most.
Colorado native. Built for speed.
Outside of the office, I raced motocross professionally for 10 years. Speed and precision under pressure aren't concepts I read about; they're things I trained into muscle memory on the track. That background shapes how I think about response time, systems under load, and why every second matters.
I'm a Colorado native, love this state. In the winter you'll find me on a snowboard, actively trying to dodge ski traffic. The rest of the year I enjoy cruising through the mountains on my street bike, hiking, mountain biking, or staying fit at the gym.
I take a limited number of clients intentionally. After around 12 years watching how agencies operate, I made myself a promise: my clients will not be referred to as a "logo" or a number in a system. I am an extension of your business, and everything I do is oriented toward making you successful.
