Our Commitment

Revive Med Spa is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people of all abilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards to ensure we provide equal access to all users.

We strive to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, which covers a wide range of recommendations for making web content more accessible.

Measures We've Taken

Color Contrast

All text and interactive elements meet WCAG 2.1 AA minimum contrast ratios (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text). Our primary text uses teal (#1B5E6B) which achieves an 8.27:1 contrast ratio against our cream background.

Keyboard Navigation

All interactive elements are accessible via keyboard. We provide visible focus indicators and a "Skip to main content" link on every page.

Semantic HTML & ARIA

Our pages use semantic HTML5 elements (header, nav, main, footer, section) and ARIA landmarks, labels, and roles to ensure screen readers can navigate the content effectively.

Form Accessibility

All form fields have associated labels, required fields are clearly indicated, and validation errors are announced using role="alert" so assistive technologies communicate issues immediately.

Responsive Design

Our site is fully responsive and functions well at all screen sizes, including when text is resized up to 200%.

Alt Text & Images

All meaningful images include descriptive alternative text. Decorative images are marked with aria-hidden="true" so they are ignored by screen readers.

Known Limitations

While we strive for full WCAG 2.1 AA compliance, some areas may have limitations:

Third-party widgets: Our scheduling (Cal.com) and chatbot (Typebot) widgets are provided by third-party services. While we've chosen accessibility-conscious providers, we cannot guarantee their full WCAG compliance. If you experience difficulty using these widgets, please contact us directly.

Before/after images: Clinical before-and-after photographs, when present, include descriptive alt text. However, the visual nature of these comparisons may not be fully conveyed through text descriptions alone.

PDF documents: If downloadable treatment guides or consent forms are offered, we are working to ensure all PDFs are tagged and accessible. If you encounter an inaccessible document, please contact us for an alternative format.

Testing & Tools

We test our website using a combination of automated tools (axe-core, Lighthouse) and manual testing with keyboard navigation and screen readers (VoiceOver, NVDA). We conduct accessibility reviews with each major update to the site.
